What is the MiRx Prescription Card Program

The MiRx (My Prescription) Card is a prescription drug discount program for Michigan residents who do not have any prescription drug coverage.

It's Free

The MiRx Card program is free. There is no cost for the card. There is no cost to enroll in the program. And, the MiRx card is easy to use.

Which pharmacies accept the MiRx Card?

Participating pharmacies will be listed on the MiRx search page (Find Participating Pharmacies).

How does it work?

MiRx card holders will take their prescription and their MiRx card to their local participating pharmacy. The pharmacist will fill the prescription and charge the MiRx discounted price. The discount is good on any medicine the pharmacist stocks and your doctor prescribes. Over-the-counter drugs are not covered even if they are prescribed by your doctor.

How much will I save?

When you present your MiRx card at participating pharmacies you can expect to save about 20 percent off the retail price of common prescription drugs. Savings will typically be between 5 and 25 percent. Savings depend on the kinds of medicines used, and if they are generic or brand-name drugs.
